About AMSCO Windows®

Over 70 Years of Integrity and Innovation

More than a half-century in the business has taught us a thing or two about making the best vinyl and composite windows and doors you can put in your home. And thanks to a long history of employee ingenuity and adoption of evolving manufacturing technologies, AMSCO Windows® has been able to stay on the cutting edge of the industry without cutting corners. So you can be sure that every window and door that bears the AMSCO name is the product of years of solid consumer and technological research, creative experimentation, and relentless testing.

Why AMSCO?

Evolving Products for an Evolving Customer

No one knows more about windows than AMSCO: styles, color and hardware options, energy efficiency, and much more. But what truly sets us apart from our competition is the value we place on customer feedback. Today’s consumer is more informed, and more sophisticated, and demands the latest in innovation and design at a reasonable price. This means that we have to work that much harder to make sure every vinyl window, composite window, new construction window, and door that leaves our facility meets our standards – and our customers.

Community Affairs

Environmental Friendliness

We support our community by preserving the environment – one of the core values at AMSCO Windows®. We recycle many of the materials used in the manufacturing of our products and go to great lengths to keep the environment clean for future generations. All scrap generated in our production process is recycled and sent back to our supplier where it is used in other products. Glass is sent to a filter manufacturer and all paper/cardboard products are bailed and sent to a paper mill.

By finding ways to support the community, it’s our hope that we touch the lives of those around us.

Made in the USA

We at AMSCO take great pride in our products, which have been engineered to provide value, comfort and piece of mind. We proudly manufacture our products in our facility located in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition, all major raw material components of our products are also made in the United States of America.

We are part of a team helping builders compete in the world market.

Our products have been featured on ABC News’ “Made in America” series on “World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer”.

Certifications:

Every Window Design is Extensively Field-Tested. (If You Consider 110º Desert Sand a “Field.”)

Years ago, we built a house smack dab in the middle of the Arizona desert – southern exposure on the outside – air conditioning on the inside. It’s more abuse than most windows will ever endure. It’s also the perfect environment to push our test products to the limit in long-term research trials. If a product can’t hack it in this home, you won’t see it in yours.

Our Products Meet the Performance Requirements of the Following:

NFRC Thermal Performance Standards

We manufacture all AMSCO® windows to meet or exceed thermal standards for maximum energy efficiency set by the National Fenestration Rating Council. This means that our products help to cut heating and cooling costs in addition to reducing greenhouse emissions.

In order to meet the NFRC guidelines, products must meet predetermined criteria for: LU-factor, Solar heat gain, Visible transmittance, Air leakage.

AAMA Structural Standards

Our products meet or exceed strict structural performance standards as established by American Architectural Manufacturers Association.

Tests include: Resistance to Air Filtration, Water leakage, Forced entry, Wind load pressure, Heat resistance (in excess of 300 degrees) and Weather-ability (performance in various climates).

ENERGY STAR® Rating

You can be certain that your AMSCO purchase represents the finest in energy efficiency, because all AMSCO windows have earned the ENERGY STAR for meeting the strict guidelines set by the EPA and the US Department of Energy.
