Horizontal sliders work easily in a wide variety of architectural styles including: Prairie, Tudor, French, Ranch and Contemporary. And because they open and close horizontally they are often used for ventilation and egress purposes.
Double-vent windows are similar to single-vent windows but have two sash that operate on either side of a fixed window. A double-vent window is typically divided up in 1/4 - 1/2 - 1/4 or in equal thirds (1/3 - 1/3 - 1/3).
